Mark Zuckerberg Meets Donald Trump: A Dinner to Discuss the Future Administration
Meta Platforms CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently had dinner with the newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida.
Reports suggest that the meeting was initiated by Zuckerberg, who requested a discussion with the incoming administration to address various issues related to the new leadership, according to the New York Post.
A spokesperson for Meta confirmed the meeting, stating that Zuckerberg was grateful for the invitation and the opportunity to meet with Trump and his team to discuss upcoming changes in the administration.
Steven Miller, the future Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy, also confirmed the meeting during an appearance on Fox News. He mentioned that Zuckerberg expressed his willingness to support Trump, whom he sees as a driver of change and prosperity.
Interestingly, Zuckerberg, who had previously criticized Trump for labeling Facebook as “the enemy of the people,” congratulated the President-elect on his election victory during the meeting.
In other news, the ten richest people in the world, as listed on Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index, collectively increased their net worth by a record-breaking $64 billion in a single day following Trump’s victory in the U.S. presidential election.
Unfortunately for Zuckerberg, his wealth remained stagnant during this period. Only time will tell if this meeting with Trump will influence his financial standing or Meta’s future.
