Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed optimism that Ukraine will receive proposals for a peace plan from U.S. President-elect Donald Trump by January 2025.
“I want to see the proposals of the new President of the United States. I believe we will see these proposals in January,” Zelensky said, as reported by TASS.
He noted that Kyiv is expecting a concrete plan to stop the ongoing conflict in Ukraine by then.
At the same time, Zelensky mentioned that he is uncertain about when he might meet with Trump.
“If we want meetings where key issues can be resolved, there must be appropriate legal opportunities for that, and this can only happen after the inauguration,” Zelensky emphasized.
